Research Acceleration Programme funding success for ABP researchers

Congratulations to our four Aotearoa Brain Project members and their teams who were successful in the recent round of Te Tītoki Mataora Research Acceleration Programme (RAP) funding. Ka rawe!

The four projects funded were:

RAP stage I: Collaboration and ideation

  1. Haruna Suzuki-Kerr et al: Technology for inner ear visualisation towards better diagnosis and management of hearing loss

  2. Victor Dieriks et al: Addressing the healthcare needs of Parkinson’s disease in New Zealand patients and whānau, an integrative approach

RAP Stage II: De-risking ideas and proof of concept

  1. Grant Searchfield et al: Your head is humming, and it won’t go: Development of an Artifical Intelligence (AI) driven wearable Electroencephalography (EEG) array for guiding tinnitus treatment

  2. Jo Nunnerley et al: Virtual reality (VR) rehabilitation post traumatic brain injury (TBI): a clinical trial
