FLAG early-mid career researcher workshop
  
Thursday 16th & Friday 17th November
Leigh Marine Reserve, Auckland

You're invited to our first FLAG workshop! Our focus for this workshop is on building collaborations within our national brain research network, so we're looking for exceptional EMCRs from across the motu who are interested in learning how to effectively market their skills, carry out research with impact, and work collaboratively to get further, faster.

Registration will cost $150, and travel will be subsidised for those coming from outside of Auckland. Places are limited and will be selected based on career stage and potential benefit for the applicant.

Day 1:

12:00 pm: Arrival & lunch

1:00 pm: Introductions & icebreakers

1:30 pm: Flash talks - 10 mins/speaker

3:00 pm: National collaboration success story with Brigid Ryan (University of Auckland) and Ashleigh Barrett-Young (University of Otago)

3:45 pm: Afternoon tea & poster session

4:15 pm: Skills session - your own personal elevator pitch

5:30 pm: Plenary talk - a recently established Principal Investigator with national collaborations

6:30 pm: Dinner, poster session & networking

Day 2:

7:30 am: Breakfast & poster session

8:30 am: Panel discussion & Q&A - effective collaboration

10:00 am: Flash talks 2

11:00 am: Skills session - research impact

12:00 pm: Lunch

1:00 pm: Workshop close
